Anche Ebay, il colosso delle aste online,   comincia ad aver paura di un Google sempre piu potente, e che punta sempre di piu al mercato degli annunci pubblicitari sul web!!

Infatti si è saputo che Ebay sta contattando sia Yahoo! sia Microsoft per gettare le basi per un accordo per cercare di contrastare Google, le trattative tra i colossi sono iniziate già in autunno, e potrebbero sfociare in una sorta di mega-alleanza nella quale eBay aumenterebbe gli investimenti nel settore pubblicitario assieme al partner scelto e offrirebbe un prezioso accesso al database dei suoi clienti.

Quello tra eBay e Google è un rapporto di amore-odio, che oscilla tra competizione e cooperazione. Stando al “Wall Street Journal”, infatti, i tecnici di eBay considerano Google tecnologicamente superiore alla compagnia di aste online. E questo la rende sicuramente più appetibile agli occhi degli inserzionisti.

Nei motori (Google, Yahoo, Msn,  Virgilio ect) , infatti, gli italiani cercano maggiori informazioni su ciò che vogliono acquistare, su dove poterlo trovare online oppure sul territorio o per conoscerne il prezzo, così da compararlo in vista di un acquisto consapevole.

Sia uomini che donne utilizzano allo stesso modo i motori di ricerca, e la fascia d’età che piu li  utilizza va dai 35 ai 44 anni.

E si,  il Garante sulla Privacy ha scritto al quartier generale dei Google (California) , incitando il motore di ricerca a trovare delle soluzioni per  risolvere, l’annoso problema, della permanenza nelle ricerche di informazioni personali anche a distanza di anni..

L’intervento del Garante è stato deciso dopo che una cittadina italiana aveva verificato che, utilizzando il motore di ricerca, apparivano in prevalenza informazioni su un procedimento penale avviato nei suoi confronti per reati per i quali era stata assolta.
Malgrado alcuni siti web avessero aggiornato o rimosso le informazioni, le notizie sulla sua responsabilità penale prevalevano nei risultati delle ricerche in Internet. L’interessata aveva quindi chiesto a Google Italia di intervenire sulle numerose copie cache e sui diversi abstract formati da Google, che continuavano a dare un’immagine falsata della realtà rispetto a quella corretta presente nei siti web da dove il motore avevano «pescato» le notizie.

Google Italia aveva rappresentato l’impossibilità di intervenire autonomamente sui server sui quali può operare solo la casa madre negli Usa.
